About this ingredient
A 60 percent grade corn gluten meal from a separate production route. As with all corn gluten meal, the value sits in the combination of dense plant protein and high xanthophyll pigment.
Because grade codes are mill specific rather than an industry standard, two products labelled 60 can differ in colour, particle size and pigment. If you are buying for pigmentation, ask for the xanthophyll figure rather than relying on the grade name.
