Yeast Culture
Yeast Culture for animal feed, supplied from audited Chinese mills with a full specification and certificate of analysis on enquiry.
About this ingredient

Yeast culture is not simply dried yeast. It is the whole fermentation product, comprising the yeast together with the medium it was grown on and the metabolites produced along the way, dried so that those metabolites are preserved.
In ruminants it is used to stabilise rumen fermentation, supporting fibre digesting bacteria and moderating pH swings on high concentrate diets. That effect comes largely from the metabolites, which is why the whole culture is used rather than yeast alone.
Where it is used
- Dairy rations, for rumen stability and fibre digestion
- Beef finishing on high concentrate diets
- Transition cow programmes
- Horse feed
Formulation note
Yeast culture is dosed per head per day in ruminant rations. Choose it for rumen stability and fibre digestion, particularly on high concentrate diets and around calving.

Frequently asked questions
How is yeast culture different from live yeast?
Yeast culture is the whole fermentation product, including the yeast, growth medium and metabolites. Live yeast products focus on a guaranteed count of living cells.
How does yeast culture help dairy cows?
It helps stabilise rumen fermentation, supports fibre digesting bacteria and reduces pH swings.
Is yeast culture used in horses?
Yes. It is used in horse feed to support hindgut fermentation and fibre digestion.
Other proteins in the range

Hydrolyzed Feather Meal
Fully hydrolyzed keratin protein at 85% measured crude protein, the highest-protein ingredient in the range.

Pea Slurry Powder 68%
Zero-antigen plant protein with digestibility above 90% and a full amino acid profile. A direct plant-based route away from fish meal.

Chicken Liver Powder
A steam-dried palatability enhancer from fresh slaughterhouse liver. Protein and fat together exceed 75%.

Fermented Soybean Meal
Soybean meal upgraded by Bacillus subtilis, lactic acid bacteria and yeast. Antinutritional factors degraded, digestibility raised 20 to 30 percent.
